The World Council of Churches (WCC) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have signed a historic memorandum of understanding that reaffirms their shared commitment to raising global, regional, and national awareness of forced displacement and statelessness.

The World Council of Churches (WCC), together with the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue and a broad coalition of Christian and Dharmic partners, is co-organizing an international conference in Rome on 23–24 June aimed at strengthening fraternity, dialogue, and collaboration among religious communities in Europe.

The Christian Council of Norway published a statement expressing deep concern over the severe underreporting of the situation in Sudan in the Norwegian media. "We cannot accept that this is happening on our watch,” the statement reads. “Every human being is created in the image of God and has inviolable worth.”

The World Council of Churches (WCC) executive committee will convene online from 8-12 June to conduct the regular business of the first half of the year, review programme reports and audited financial results for 2025, and review proposals for a new structure for delivering work.
