Taiwan's Catholics to March Against Hunger

According to United Nations statistics the world has 852 million underfed people. On average, a child dies of hunger every five seconds. An expenditure of as little as 7 Taiwan Yuan US$0.22) per day could save a life. The United Nations has invited Non Governmental organizations worldwide to organize marches against hunger on 21st May. Many Catholic agencies in Taiwan have responded to the call and will join concerned people from 75 nations around the globe in demonstrating their concern.
Taiwan's Regional Bishops' Conference and other agencies will hold an "End Hunger, Share the Angels' Blessings" activity on the afternoon of May 21st, beginning at 1:30 PM at Kuting Sacred Heart Church on Hsinhai Road and marching to Holy Family Church on Hsinsheng South Road.
